The supercars head to Albert Park for the Australian Grand Prix 2017

12:45 am

Next weekend Melbourne will become the home of the supercars for four whole days of Carbuzzzn action from Thursday the 23rd until Sunday the 26th.

The Australian Grand Prix may not be a championship race, there’s still a lot of reasons for these young gunners to get a great result. Carbuzzzn has their eye on Chaz Mostert and Cameron Waters and their keen eye to be number one next weekend.

These boys are Prodrive’s youngest gunners and they had great outings at the season-opening event at the Clipsal 500. Mostert has his Supercheap Auto Racing Ford team behind him again after a fourth place, while Waters placed just one place back from that with his Monster Energy Racing entry. Although the Melbourne Grand Prix Circut is also a street track, the boys say it is a completely different challenge than that at Clipsal 500.

As the crowd switches to gearing up for the Grand Prix, although the event has no championship on offer, the attention is still buzzzn around the event. It seems to be a huge event full of car enthusiasts in their element, family fun action and lots of excitement!

The boys have been busy with the media and getting ready for their big race and we acquired some new interviews. The boys talk about the different challenges they expect to face, including different qualifying sessions, what they need to do to come out on top and what they’re willing to try to come out with a win!

Get ready as the supercars start practicing on Thursday but in the meantime – watch the boys interviews below!
